Week 30: Pascua y Conferencia

Hola!

This week, especially this weekend, has been absolutely amazing. This weekend was both General Conference and Easter! Along with celebrating the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we were able to listen to the words of our apostles and sustain our new prophet, President Nelson. It brought so much joy to my soul and I raised my hand to sustain him as the one to lead us and guide us. I feel so grateful that we have a living mouthpiece from God to help show us the way back to Him. I feel like a good summary of this conference was that, even though we are all different, we are all children of God and we are all in this together. We are meant to be disciples of Christ, so why wouldn't we do all we can to try and be like Him? Christ was all about unity, but also about helping people with their individual needs and struggles. These changes with priesthood classes and with home teaching and visiting teaching will help us all as members of the church to grow closer and to be more unified! Ultimately conference was dope and, if you somehow missed it, it will probably be up on lds.org soon so go check it out :)

Us and some milkshakes

Some other neat things that happened this week! I went on exchanges with Sister Pressley over in Paris, and we spent the whole day delivering Easter treats to the people in their area! Their area is so gigantic, and our area and their area used to be one giant area. I literally have no idea how the missionaries used to cover all of it. We also found this super awesome less-active lady, Barbara. She is SO prepared and SO ready to come back to church. She signed up to feed us this week and we just had so many awesome conversations about church history and the gospel. She actually asked US if we could come back and help her relearn stuff about the gospel and about the Book of Mormon, which is super exciting!!!! Also, her granddaughter who lives with her is not a member, so hopefully we can start teaching her soon too.
